Our comprehensive legal commitment to donor confidentiality, data protection, and transparent record governance.
Masajid Project Initiative acts as the primary data controller for all personal information collected through our platform, online forms, donation checkouts, and mosque submission channels. This policy governs how we collect, process, protect, and handle data provided by donors, mosque representatives, and platform visitors worldwide.
We collect minimal, necessary data required to process contributions and audit mosque nominations:
We process personal data based on explicit donor consent (when initiating a contribution), legitimate charitable mandate (issuing audited payment receipts and verifying mosque safety), and statutory legal obligations (financial auditing and anti-money laundering compliance).
Supporters maintain absolute rights to give anonymously. When the anonymous checkbox is selected during checkout, your name is permanently suppressed from all public donation ledgers, project summary pages, and marketing communications. Internal transaction logs record only your anonymized reference code.
All card transactions and online bank transfers are processed directly through licensed PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant payment gateways (Paystack/Flutterwave/Stripe). Masajid Project never stores, handles, or accesses raw credit card numbers or bank account PINs on our servers.
Donor records and financial receipt histories are retained for 7 years to fulfill charity audit compliance. All stored records are protected using AES-256 bit encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 encryption in transit.
We strictly forbid the selling, renting, trading, or commercial sharing of donor personal details with external advertisers or telemarketers. Personal details collected during mosque nominations are shared only with licensed local technical contractors assigned to that specific intervention.
Under applicable data protection regulations, you have the right to request access to your personal data, request correction of inaccurate records, or request deletion of non-audited records. Contact our Privacy Officer:
